Welcome to GingerSkates! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, products, and services. By accessing or purchasing from GingerSkates, you agree to abide by these terms.

1. General

1.1. These Terms apply to all customers, visitors, and users of GingerSkates. 1.2. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Products & Orders

2.1. All product descriptions and prices are subject to change without notice. 2.2. We make every effort to display accurate images and specifications, but variations may occur. 2.3. Placing an order does not guarantee availability. If an item is out of stock, we will contact you with alternative options or a refund. 2.4. GingerSkates reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including suspected fraud.

3. Payments 

3.1. Payments must be made in full at the time of purchase, except for boots, which require a 50% down payment upfront, with the remaining balance due upon arrival. 3.2. We accept major credit cards and other secure payment methods as listed on our website. 3.3. If a payment is declined or flagged as suspicious, GingerSkates reserves the right to cancel the order.

4. Gift Cards

4.1. GingerSkates e-gift cards are redeemable only on our website and cannot be exchanged for cash. 4.2. e-Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. 4.3. Any remaining balance on an e-gift card can be used for future purchases but cannot be transferred to another account. 4.4. Gift cards can be used in conjunction with discount codes or promotional offers unless specified otherwise. 4.5. GingerSkates reserves the right to cancel or void e-gift cards suspected of fraud or misuse. 4.6. An e-gift Card will expire after 24 months from the date the card was issued. 4.7. The minimum value of an e-Gift Card is 25EUR or the equivalent currency. 4.8. If the value of the e-Gift Card is less than the amount of your total purchase, you must provide an additional payment method accepted in the region that you are purchasing. 4.9. E-gift cards cannot be used to purchase e-gift cards. 4.10. You cannot use multiple e-gift cards in the same purchase. 

5. Shipping & Delivery

5.1. Shipping times and costs vary based on the destination and selected shipping method. 5.2. Estimated delivery times are provided as a guideline and are not guaranteed.  For custom designs, production times are typically 8–12 weeks.  5.3. GingerSkates is not responsible for delays due to carrier issues, customs, or unforeseen circumstances. 5.4. Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Any additional costs incurred due to incorrect addresses will be the customer’s responsibility. 

6. Returns & Exchanges

6.1. GingerSkates does not accept returns. If an item does not fit or is not to the customer's taste, GingerSkates cannot take it back, and the customer remains responsible for the payment. 6.2. Items are non-refundable unless defective. 6.4. To initiate a return for defective items, customers must contact GingerSkates with proof of purchase.

7. Warranty & Liability

7.1. Products may come with manufacturer warranties. GingerSkates does not provide additional warranties beyond those stated by the manufacturer. 7.2. GingerSkates is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from the use of our products. 7.3. Customers assume all risks associated with using skating equipment. 7.4. Product colors may vary slightly from images displayed online due to different screen settings and production variations.

8. Events Outside Our Control 

8.1. GingerSkates is not liable for any failure to perform, delay, or disruptions due to events beyond our reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to natural disasters, government actions, labor strikes, supply chain disruptions, or unforeseen technical failures.

9. Recycling & Environmental Responsibility

9.1. GingerSkates encourages customers to recycle packaging materials responsibly. 9.2. Certain products may have recycling or disposal guidelines, which customers should follow to minimize environmental impact.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

10.1. Customer information is collected and processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).10.2. We do not sell or share customer data with third parties, except when required for legal compliance or essential service providers (e.g., payment processors, shipping partners).10.3. By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies and tracking technologies as outlined in our Privacy Policy. 11.1. All content on the GingerSkates website, including images, text, and branding, is the property of GingerSkates and may not be used without permission. 11.2. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of our materials is strictly prohibited.

12. Governing Law

12.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the Dutch law. 12.2. Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration or the appropriate legal channels.
